The parents of nine-year-old Christina Taylor Green, who was shot and killed at the Tucson Safeway last week, have donated her organs to a young girl in Boston. According to Green's father, John, he got a phone call about the transplant but doesn't know any other details. He was just happy that his daughter "has done another amazing thing." Green was interested in politics and had just been appointed to her elementary school's student council, which is why she attended Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ event last week. While a spokesperson for the New England Organ Bank can't comment on the donation, the Arizona Republic newspaper reported that Bishop Gerald Kicanas told visitors at Green's funeral that her organs were donated.
