Jessica Bennett is a senior writer covering society, youth culture and gender, producing special reports, multimedia packages and commentary. She's written on the latest frenzy over schoolyard bullying, chronicled the rise of polyamory (that's people with multiple partners), the debate over marijuana legalization, and recently led reporting on a story about sexism at work, to mark the 40th anniversary of a landmark gender discrimination suit against Newsweek. In 2010, Bennett won first prize from the Newswomen's Club of NY for her special report on looksism at work, and was honored with the NY Press Club's Nellie Bly Award for her 2009 story about online privacy law, and one family's fight to have their daughter's death photos removed from the Web. You can find Bennett on the Web, on Twitter or at the Newsweek Tumblr.
