Lorenza Muñoz was a reporter at the Los Angeles Times for 14 years before leaving the paper in 2008 to finish her first novel, The Weight of Flight. She is a regular contributor for Newsweek/The Daily Beast, mamiverse.com, and the Los Angeles Times, and is an adjunct professor of journalism at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication.
