Roy Scranton’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Massachusetts Review, New Letters, and Theory & Event and elsewhere. He served in the U.S. Army from 2002 to 2006 and in Iraq from 2003 to 2004. He has coedited a collection of short fiction by veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan, titled Fire and Forget, due out from Da Capo in 2013.
