Steven Wishnia

 

Steven Wishnia is a New York-based journalist, now a reporter for LaborPress and editor of Tenant/Inquilino. He has previously worked as an editor at High Times, PC Magazine, and Junior Scholastic, and written for the Nation, In These Times, Alternet, Salon, Gothamist, and numerous others. He has won two New York City Independent Press Association awards for his coverage of housing issues. He is also the author of the novel When the Drumming Stops (Manic D Press, 2012), The Cannabis Companion, and Exit 25 Utopia, and co-edited the Imagine: Living in a Socialist U.S.A. anthology (HarperCollins, 2014). Bassist in the ’80s punk band False Prophets, he still plays music quasi-professionally.
