Authorities are searching for two gunmen who shot 10 people on Bourbon Street in New Orleans early Sunday morning. Police have failed to identify either perpetrator, who were said to have fled on foot without injuries. Police Superintendent Michael Harrison asked for the public’s help in identifying the shooters and described the gunfight as an “act of brazen cowards.” A Baton Rouge tattoo artist was killed in the melee, and nine others were wounded in the spray of bullets. None of the victims were intended targets, police say. The man who died, 25-year-old Demontris Toliver, was hit in the chest and shoulder blade. Multiple agencies have joined the search, including the FBI, ATF, and state authorities. “I’m confident we will track down those responsible for the crimes,” Harrison said. “We will hold them accountable for their actions.”
