Dallas police say a gunman who shot 12 police and two civilians during a Black Lives Matter protest Thursday may have planted a bomb somewhere in the city. Ultimately, two sets of sweeps found no explosives in the area. Shortly after midnight, the bomb squad investigated a suspicious package in the area. But early Friday morning, a police official tweeted, “Primary and secondary sweeps for explosives are complete and no explosives found.” Later, he clarified, “There and around in the area where the shooting took place. No indication of a threat elsewhere.”
