The prosecutor who turned up dead on the day before he was set to allege an Iranian terrorist attack was covered up by Argentina did not own the gun used to kill him. While the official stance was that Alberto Nisman committed suicide, officials are now checking to see if a friend loaned the weapon to him. (They’re also looking for traces of gunpowder on his hand.) Officials are reportedly looking into whether he might have been “induced” to commit suicide from outside pressure. Nisman was investigating the 1994 bombing of a Jewish center in Buenos Aires that killed 85 people, largely suspected to be the work of Iran.
