The conductor of a train that derailed at Chicago's O'Hare Airport station just before 3 a.m. on Monday may have fallen asleep right before the accident that injured more than 30 people. “I can confirm that she was extremely tired,” said Robert Kelly, president of Amalgamated Transit Union Local 308. “Indications are she might have dozed off.” The train streamed past the end of the platform and up into the escalators leading to the airport terminals. The train was on Chicago's Blue Line. "I thought it was just a hard stop as the train didn't even slow down when it was coming in. People were freaking out. Trying to figure out what happened. Trying to make sure everyone was OK," said one witness.
