A gunman entered a Detroit police precinct Sunday afternoon and opened fire, hitting a commander and three other officers. Commander Brian Davis, who oversees the 6th precinct, was hit in the hand and side, while Officer David Anderson was hit in the head. Sources say Anderson, despite the head wound, is alert and moving his limbs. The gunman was killed. The spree caps a bloody weekend for Detroit in which at least 10 people were shot; in addition to the four officers, three people were shot outside a strip club and three murder victims were found inside a house.
