After Roy Lichtenstein’s Half Face With Collar failed to sell at Sotheby’s last year, (the bids failed to meet its $15 million reserve), the house became the work’s de facto owner. So what was it doing on display at Paris FIAC and who owns it? One FIAC source reports that mega-dealer Larry Gagosian currently owns it, but “it’s definitely for sale.” But for now, those who didn’t have the funds could at least enjoy the Lichtenstein alongside Andy Warhol’s Green Disaster, also from 1963, at FIAC’s Projet Moderne section.
