June may not be friendlier to markets than May was, after all: The Dow Jones closed below 10000 on Friday after it lost 323.31 points. The final number was 9931.97, and it took the wind out of what was the first two-day winning streak in a month on Wednesday and Thursday. The tumble came on the same day that economists were disappointed by May’s jobs report—nearly all of the month’s 411,000 new jobs were temporary positions created by the U.S. Census.
