It beat out Jennifer Lopez's latest romantic comedy, The Back-Up Plan, which made a paltry $12.3 million in its first weekend. Kick-Ass, which narrowly won last weekend’s box-office battle, dropped to fifth this weekend, earning $9.5 million.
