A grocery store put a "family shield" over the cover of its display copy of Us Weekly featuring Elton John, his partner David Furnish, and their child. A Harps supermarket in Mountain Home, Arkansas claimed they covered the image "to protect young shoppers,” according to Joe.My.God, the blog that originally picked up the image. The store defended its actions to the site, saying it only uses the shields when a customer complains and only in the specific store. A spokesperson said that the use of the shield is "in no way our opinion on this issue.” The rep added, "We do not have an opinion on this issue."
