White House special counsel Ty Cobb and press secretary Sarah Sanders were fooled by an email prankster who pretended to be White House social-media director Dan Scavino. During the email conversation, Cobb called Business Insider reporter Natasha Bertrand—whom he once asked if she was “on drugs”—“insane.” The email address the prankster used was dan.scavinojr@emailprankster.co.uk. In one of the emails, Cobb referenced a “drone” when discussing the reporter. “No idea—it is a felony of course to impersonate a government official of course, or to conspire to,” Cobb told Business Insider. Sanders was also targeted by the prankster, who asked about Sanders’ latest correspondence with Bertrand.
