Former New York City policeman Kenneth Moreno was controversially acquitted of rape charges earlier this year, but he’s headed to prison anyway: He has been sentenced to one year on three counts of official misconduct. Moreno and his partner were sent to help a 27-year-old woman at her apartment in December 2008. Later they faked a 911 call from her apartment so that police dispatchers would send them back. It was on this second visit that the woman accused them of raping her. The judge sentenced him to the maximum sentence on the misdemeanor charge.
