We hope these passengers get a free upgrade next time they fly: A British Airways flight from London to Hong Kong hit trouble on Tuesday when, while flying over the North Sea, an automated emergency message started warning of an imminent crash. “We all thought we were going to die," said Michelle Lord, 32, of Preston. The cabin crew, quickly realizing the message was made in error, tried to calm the rattled passengers and assure them the flight would continue as normal. “We apologise to passengers on board the flight for causing them undue distress,” said a British Airways spokesman in a statement. The airline company is currently investigating whether the message was caused by a computer malfunction or human error.
