All in the family: Johnnie L. Roberts at The Wrap reports that Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes—who was a key force in convincing superstar journalist and international-relations expert Fareed Zakaria to leave Newsweek for Time magazine—once asked Zakaria to invest in a hedge fund run by Zakaria's own brother, Arshad Zakaria. Bewkes and HBO Co-President Richard Plepler jointly asked for his help, Roberts reports. Not much else is known about the investment. "That's an inappropriate question and none of his business," Plepler wrote in an email responding to a media inquiry about the investment. A spokesperson for Time Warner described the matter as private and refused to elaborate.
