Just Like Daddy

Father-Son Look-Alikes

Matching hair, copycat fashions, even identical pouts—see star dads with mini-mes.

Matthew and Levi McConaughey

There was a time when Matthew McConaughey rarely posed with his shirt on. But now that he’s a 41-year-old father of two, the actor is a little more buttoned-up. Earlier this month, he and his son, Levi, who turns 3 in July, went for a walk in Santa Monica wearing dapper gray jackets.

Gavin and Kingston Rossdale

If there is a cooler kid on the planet, no one has informed Kingston Rossdale. The 5-year-old son of Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale inherited the rock star swagger of both parents, and frequently models his mom’s L.A.M.B. clothing line, but at the premiere of Gnomeo and Juliet in January, Kingston wanted to look like Dad in matching red shades. Or maybe it was the other way around.

David, Brooklyn, Cruz, and Romeo Beckham

For years David Beckham has been photographed with his trio of look-alike sons—11-year-old Brooklyn, 9-year-old Romeo, and 7-year-old Cruz—but Victoria Beckham finally gets a mini-me of her own next month, when she is due to give birth to their first daughter.

Tom and Connor Cruise

Proving that nurture can be as powerful as nature, Tom Cruise and his adopted son, Connor, strike a similar pose at a Lakers game in 2009. Later this year, Connor will follow his father—and mother, Nicole Kidman—into the family business when he stars in a remake of Red Dawn.

Jon and Nathan Stewart

“My wife is Catholic, I’m Jewish,” Jon Stewart told Tony Blair one night on The Daily Show. “We’re raising our children to be sad.” But based on this photo of Stewart and his son, Nathan (who turns 7 next month), at a Knicks game in 2009, he’s doing a terrible job.

Will and Jaden Smith

In an understandable bit of typecasting, Jaden Smith made his movie debut in 2006 when he played Will Smith’s son in The Pursuit of Happyness. Dad gave Jaden (who turns 14 next month) an even bigger career boost when he produced the remake of The Karate Kid in 2010. But being a fair father, Will is doing the same for his daughter, Willow—he and Jay-Z announced they are remaking Annie for her.

Matt and Jack Lauer

Today show host Matt Lauer may be a lifelong Yankees fan—he lost a $5 bet to one-time Texas Rangers owner and former President George W. Bush during last year’s American League playoffs—but in July 2010, Lauer took his 9-year-old son, Jack, into enemy territory: Father and son attended a Red Sox-Tampa Bay game at Boston’s Fenway Park.

Spike and Jackson Lee

Being the most famous (and vocal) Knicks fan on the planet, how could Spike Lee not raise his son Jackson to bleed blue and orange? Father and son attended a game at Madison Square Garden earlier this year, and if former Indiana Pacers star Reggie Miller ever has a son, no doubt Jackson Lee will be there courtside to torment him.

Donald and Barron Trump

Donald Trump Jr. may have been given his father’s name, and Eric Trump may have inherited the strawberry blond(ish) mane, but it’s Barron Trump who has dad’s famous pout down cold. The son of Donald and Melania Trump, Barron was born on March 20, 2006—and presumably can produce a birth certificate.
