The City of Ferguson has yet to respond to the Department of Justice’s scathing report about its corrupt legal systems, while judges and other officials tell St. Louis Today that they haven’t read the report at all. The DoJ’s report criticized the city’s police and court systems for operating “not with the primary goal of administering justice or protecting the rights of the accused, but of maximizing revenue.” But Ferguson Judge Ronald Brockmeyer, who was named in the report, said he’d welcome a reporter in his court to “report the actual facts as to how the court operates” (he didn’t show up to court on Thursday, however, and otherwise declined comment). Meanwhile, the newspaper reports, “Several prosecutors, city attorneys, and judges contacted Thursday said they couldn’t comment on the report’s findings because they hadn’t read it.”
