A swing ride at the Oyster Festival in Norwalk, Conn., lost power while it was in the air Sunday, causing at least 13 children to fall to the ground. Most of the children weren't severely injured and helped at the scene, but others were rushed to local hospitals, according to authorities. Norwalk Police Chief Thomas Kulhawik said the injuries were not as severe as first feared, based on preliminary hopistal reports. The festival is still open, but all the rides reportedly are closed. The ride is operated by a company called Stewart Amusement of Trumbull, according to local paper The Hour.
