Spencer Collier, the former head of Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, alleged Tuesday afternoon that he had investigated text and audio messages “of a sexual nature” sent between Gov. Robert Bentley and his chief adviser, Rebekah Caldwell Mason. An affair had been rumored for some time, but this is the first official to confirm.
