Some relief for Tennessee is on its way, after 31 have died due to the massive weekend storms and flooding. In Nashville, waters are receding and the city's business and government district partially reopened. President Obama has deemed 10 counties in Tennessee disaster areas, and Nashville Mayor Karl Dean noted that flood damage will likely top $1 billion. The aftermath will also be difficult to cope with. "A lot of people who didn't have flood insurance, because they never thought floodwaters would ever come anywhere near their home, are really looking at a total loss of their home," said Gov. Phil Bredesen. On Thursday, the Cumberland River, which runs through downtown Nashville, was at two feet above flood stage.
