Muammar Gaddafi still has plenty of bite left: His forces halted rebels’ advance toward his hometown of Sirte Tuesday and, in fact, have pushed them back to the town of Ras Lanuf. Gaddafi’s troops turned them around about 150 kilometers (93 miles) east of Sirte in the town of Bin Jawad with heavy shelling. According to Al-Jazeera, Gaddafi’s forces are now shelling Ras Lanuf and pushing toward the town. Western airstrikes have been absent so far from the recent action.
