The Algerian government on Monday confirmed that former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi's wife and three of his children have entered the country. The Algerian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Gaddafi’s wife, Sofia, his daughter Aisha, and his sons Hannibal and Muhammad crossed the border Monday morning. But there’s no word on the whereabouts of the former dictator himself. Meanwhile, Gaddafi's son Khamis, who stayed behind, was reportedly killed in battle with rebels, the opposition told Reuters. The U.S. says it has no information indicating that Gaddafi himself has left Libya.
