The Smoking Gun reported that the office rejected a recent request from Snooki, whose real name is Nicole Polizzi, to trademark her moniker due to a "likelihood of confusion" with a previously issued trademark from 2004 for
Adventures of Snooky, "the first
2-D hologram children's book in the world!" The book stars Snooky, a furry yellow-haired cat with a red hat, who embarks on a family fishing adventure. All begins well at sea until an ominous wave forces Snooky overboard, separating him from his family. Could this be a clairvoyant metaphor for Snooki's drunken antics and subsequent cold shoulders from her housemates during the first night on
