What would happen if you actually put Kristen Stewart and Snow White in the same room? What about Helen Mirren and Queen Elizabeth II? Michelle Williams and Marilyn Monroe? Now we don’t need to imagine it. The entirely illustrated Herself magazine has just released its second issue, featuring leading ladies posing with, however inconceivably, the famous women they’ve portrayed on screen. There’s Evita Perón and Madonna, Queen Elizabeth I and Kate Blanchet, Margaret Thatcher and Meryl Streep—all in this spring’s fashion, from Alexander McQueen to Stella McCartney. Herself’s elusive editor and illustrator—who goes only by Lula because she is “born and bred online”—explained in an email to The Daily Beast that the idea for the issue came from “wanting to discuss the relationship we have with a very common object: the mirror. Looking at each pair standing for one single creation reminded me how good it is to always look at things twice.” To read more about Herself on The Daily Beast click here.
