Tear gas and stones flew between Cairo Police and thousands of protestors in Tahrir Square, Tuesday, as demonstrations against President Mohammad Morsi raged on for the fourth day in a row. At least two civilian protesters have died in the past week since Morsi announced a decree expanding his powers and preventing his decisions from court challenges, and hundreds more have been injured. Tuesday’s violence has made the protest against the Muslim Brotherhood president the worst crisis Egypt has seen since Morsi was elected in June. Though the demonstrations have been mostly concentrated in Tahrir Square, the site of the 2011 uprising that ousted longtime dictator Hosni Mubarak, anti-Morsi rage has spread throughout the country. “We don’t want a dictatorship again. The Mubarak regime was a dictatorship. We had a revolution to have justice and freedom,” said one protestor.
