Tina Fey and Amy Poehler better have some speeches lined up in addition to their hosting duties. The Golden Globes nominations were announced Thursday morning, with Smash's nomination for Best Musical or Comedy being biggest early surprise as well as Mad Men's being shunned for Best Drama. In television or comedy, Smash was joined by The Big Bang Theory, Episodes, Girls and Modern Family. In a big snub, Mad Men was shut out by Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, The Newsroom, Homeland and Downton Abbey. Argo, Django Unchained, Zero Dark Thirty, Lincoln and Life of Pi were nominated for Best Drama; with Les Miserables being nominated for Best Musical or Comedy, joined by Moonrise Kingdom, Silver Linings Playbook, Salmon Fishing in Yemen and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
