Kim & Kanye

Kanye West turned pop culture upside down when he seemingly announced during a concert on Dec. 30 that his girlfriend Kim Kardashian was pregnant with his child. “Stop the music and make some noise for my baby mama,” he said. Was it another strange Kanye West outburst or was it true? Kim’s clan later confirmed. Kim’s sister Khloe even tweeted, “KIMYE!!!!! … Keeping secrets is hard with so many family members! Especially when you are so freaking excited!!!!!! LOVE is everything!!!!” Of course, Kim got married to Kris Humphries just over a year ago and is still embroiled in a nasty divorce from the Brooklyn Nets forward and all that jazz, but she wouldn’t be a Kardashian if we didn’t have to keep up with her.

Will & Kate

Perhaps the only entries on this list whose wedding had a bigger audience than Kim Kardashian’s, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge announced in December that they are expecting their first child. Though Kate was at first suffering from acute morning sickness, she appears to be doing better. The palace said in the announcement, “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby. The queen, the duke of Edinburgh, the prince of Wales, The duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.”

Channing Tatum & Jenna Dewan-Tatum

Recently named “Sexiest Man Alive” Channing Tatum capped off a big year by announcing that his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, is pregnant with their first child. The couple said in a statement, “We are absolutely over the moon. As you can imagine, we couldn’t feel more blessed!”

Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves

Unborn baby Kimye may have seized the new year’s spotlight—as his parents are wont to do—but just days before Kanye announced that he and Kim Kardashian were expecting, another celebrity couple welcomed their third child home. Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves added baby boy Livingston to their Austin, Texas, clan on Dec. 28. He joins McConaughey siblings Levi, 4, and Vida, 3.

Jessica Simpson

Nobody rocks a baby bump quite like Jessica Simpson. Just eight months after giving birth to daughter Maxwell, the pop star and her fiance Eric Johnson announced that they were expecting yet again. Simpson debuted her brand new bump via a Christmas day tweet—is there any other way?—sparking rumors that she’d sabotaged her $4 million Weight Watchers deal. A representative for the weight-loss program confirmed, however, that Jessica’s deal is still intact but will presumably be put on hold until after she gives birth to baby number 2.

Shakira

Shakira’s hips don’t lie, but her boyfriend Gerard Piqué apparently has no qualms with fibbing. Okay, okay, so it was just a joke, but the Spanish soccer player had the world fooled when he tweeted that his pregnant mamacita had given birth: “Ya ha nacido nuestro hijo Estamos muy felices Gracias a todos por vuestros mensajes!” Translation: “Our son was born! We’re very happy! Thank you for all your messages.” Turns out it Piqué was just playing a little prank on Dia de los Inocentes—the Spanish equivalent to April Fool’s Day. Giggles aside, the couple has dropped no hints about the baby’s due date or sex.

Kristen Bell

Like many other celebs, Kristen Bell and fiancé Dax Shepard aren’t waiting to tie the knot before they pop out a kid. The Hit & Run co-stars met in 2007 and have been engaged for three years, but the couple is refusing to get hitched until California legalizes same-sex marriage. Needless to say, that hasn’t stopped them from getting busy: Bell, 32, and Shepard, 37, announced in November that they were expecting their first child in early spring. In a recent interview with CBS, Bell joked that she was “pretty far [into pregnancy]. I’m about 367 pounds. I’m not sure how far that is in months, but in pounds, that’s where I’m weighing in.” Maybe this baby’s coming early? Here’s hoping Shepard has learned a thing or two about being a dad from starring on NBC’s Parenthood.

Lara Stone

God bless the notoriously busty supermodel Lara Stone, whose famous curves have only garnered more attention of late. The Dutch beauty is expecting her first child with comedian husband David Walliams, and she’s been flaunting her baby bump on the Red Carpet and, more recently, all over London. Though Stone is a spring chicken at 29, her British hubbie is 41 and recently told Andy Carr that his biological clock was ticking. “I’m quite old,” he quipped, “so I thought I better get on with it.”

Holly Madison

Former Girls Next Door star and Playboy model Holly Madison is in her third trimester—and apparently still suffering bouts of morning sickness. “Almost seven months and morning sickness took hold! Glad to be otherwise OK, though,” Madison tweeted when she was hospitalized on Dec. 3. Madison, 32, is expecting her first child with boyfriend Pasquale Rotella, but she just might have settled down with Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner had she not had baby fever. After dating for seven years, the couple split in 2008, reportedly because they were unable to conceive. “I want to be with somebody I can have more of a future with eventually,” she told ExtraTV after the breakup. “Hugh and I can’t get married and have kids … so it was fun while it lasted but it wasn’t right for my old age. I got too old for Hef.”

Jenna Bush Hager

She must have sowed all her wild oats in college. Former party girl Jenna Bush Hager is now married with a baby on the way, on top of being a teacher and Today show correspondent. Jenna announced the news with her husband, Henry Hager, earlier this month on Today. Naturally, Matt Lauer rang up former president George W. Bush during the segment. “I’m fired up,” W. said on the show, adding that he expects no less but for his grandchild to address him as “Sir.” Jenna, meanwhile, voted for “Popsicle.”
