Ranging from sloppy to beautiful, love is made up of many emotions, and British artist Tracey Emin wants to highlight them all…literally. With a dash of wit, Emin’s neon installations are crafted from emotional handwritten expressions depicting the artist’s own views on the complexities of love. And where better to showcase these electrifying installations than the neon-lit city of Miami. Just in time for Art Basel, Tracey Emin: Angel Without You opens at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) in North Miami on December 4 for the artist’s first American museum exhibition. The show highlights a large selection of Emin’s neons, which mark a major transition in her career. In anticipation of the exhibition, Skira Rizzoli has produced an illustrated publication featuring these works and numerous more that is currently on sale.
‘Tracey Emin: Angel Without You’ will be on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami from December 4 through March 9, 2014.
