Thousands thronged Edinburgh's Royal Mile today to catch a glimpse of William and Kate - known as the Earl and Countess of Strathearn while in Scotland - and other royals as they made their way from the Signet Library, across Parliament Square for William's investiture into The Order of the Thistle, the highest order of chivalry in Scotland, and a rough parallel to England's Order of the Garter.
Kate wore a - gasp! - NEW pale yellow coat and hat by Emilia Wickstead.
Kate topped off the ladylike look with a pair of black heels and a Whiteley hat.
Sources at Emilia Wickstead told Grazia Daily that it was a bespoke dress specially made for Kate. It’s not from a specific season, but the yellow-gold raffia fabric featured a lot in the Spring Summer 2012 collection. Sources also tell Grazia that altogether a dress like this takes about 6 weeks to complete.
