In response to the FDA’s recent, but no less discriminatory, policy change on gay men donating blood—lifting a ban but requiring them to abstain from sex for a year instead—GLAAD has launched a campaign called the “Celibacy Challenge.”

Actor and LGBT activist Alan Cumming makes ironic use of his surname, listing some activities gay and bisexual men can do rather than have sex—can anyone exercise with a Shake Weight without it getting a little steamy?—which include signing GLAAD's petition to have the FDA change their policy to screen donors based on risk instead of sexual orientation.
