The cheery-faced cast members of the FOX hit show Glee won’t be appearing at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, according to TMZ. The network that airs the Parade, NBC, has allegedly banned the Glee cast from attending. Macy’s had invited the cast, but NBC ordered the department store to cancel the deal. The news comes, ironically, on the same day that The New York Times declared “Glee” a success and NBC’s Leno experiment a bust. Last week, Glee cast recordings accounted for 10 spots on the iTunes list of top 200 downloaded songs and the show attracted an average 7.8 million viewers, while Leno’s new foray has been described as a “complete calamity” that only brings in about 5 million viewers a night.
