Republican Rep. Blake Farenthold said he might ask the GOP healthcare bill's opponents to duel, if they weren't women. In a Friday radio interview with 1440 KEYS, the Texas lawmaker berated Republicans who did not vote for the party’s attempt to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. Three of those Republicans who expressed reservations were women: Sen. Susan Collins, Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, and Sen. Lisa Murkowski. In his interview, Farenthold blamed the bill’s failure on “some female senators from the Northeast.” If the bill’s opponent “was a guy from south Texas, I might ask him to step outside and settle this Aaron Burr-style,” Farenthold said.
