Grabbing a haul worthy of an action flick, 10 gunmen in Libya overpowered a bank van landing in Sirte and made off with $54 million meant for the country's central bank. "The robbery is a catastrophe for the whole of Libya," the head of the Sirte council said. The robbery is an example of the lawlessness that has plagued the country since end of its civil war in 2011. The cash, in Libyan, U.S. and Euro currency, had been flown in from the capital, Tripoli, and was apparently only protected by one security vehicle.
