Could this be President Obama’s challenger in 2012? Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour is considering a bid for the Republican presidential nominee in 2012, says Politico. Barbour convened a meeting with advisers last week to discuss a potential run, among other things. Barbour currently chairs the Republican Governors Association, and did not deny to Politico that he is contemplating a run: "I’m not going to give it any thought until after the November ’10 elections. That’s what I’m preaching to everybody, so that’s what I’m practicing,” he said. “After the November election, we’ll sit down and see if there is anything to consider.”
