When it comes to airplane security, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton told Bob Schieffer on Face the Nation, “Clearly there is a need” to think of more diligent ways to combat the increasingly creative would-be terrorists. That being said, when asked if she would submit to one of the TSA’s pat-downs, Clinton was very quick to say, “Not if I could avoid it!”
Gov. Perry: Social Security Is a Ponzi Scheme
Gov. Rick Perry of Texas told Fox News Sunday that Social Security is nothing more than a Ponzi scheme. “Between Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, there's $106 trillion in unfunded liabilities, and not one dime saved to pay for them,” Perry said. “[Social Security] probably is a program that even makes Mr. Ponzi feel pretty bad if he were still alive.”
Mullen Blasts Kim Jong-il
On This Week, Christiane Amanpour asked Admiral Mike Mullen about the troubling report from The New York Times saying North Korea had unveiled a new nuclear plant. Mullen blasted Kim Jong-il, the country’s volatile leader, calling him “predictable in his unpredictability” and saying “he blows hot and cold.”

Jindal: Obama Administration “Absolutely” Incompetent During Oil Spill
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal had some harsh words for the Obama administration on Meet the Press, taking Democrats to task for their delay in deploying supplies to the Gulf Coast during both the 2010 oil spill and 2005’s Hurricane Katrina disaster. He compared the delay to “fighting a war, running out of ammunition on the frontlines, [and] having ammunition sitting in the warehouse because that’s what the rules say.”

Clinton Backs Civil, Not Military, Trials for Terror Suspects
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in her third talk-show appearance of the day over on Meet the Press, came down firmly on the side of civilian trials for terror suspects, calling the American justice system “the best system in the world.” If lawyers can’t convince an American jury, filled with citizens who are “obsessed with terrorism,” to vote guilty, Clinton says, “Maybe there’s a question about the strength of the case.”
