President Obama received the backing of one of Hispanic media’s most prominent figures, Cristina Saralegui. The Miami-based talk-show host, often referred to as “the Hispanic Oprah,” has never made a public endorsement in a presidential race, but she decided that since Hispanics “may very well decide the next election,” she had an obligation to say something. “I will do everything I can from now until November to ensure that President Obama is reelected; there's simply too much at stake,” Saralegui said in a statement. “President Obama, I was very fortunate to live the American Dream, and I know that only you will make it possible for millions more to do the same. You've had our back, and now, with the utmost respect and admiration, I have yours.”
