Among those Floridians who turned out in support Mitt Romney this week were many of the sunshine state's Hispanic voters. While winning over Florida Latinos may have been one of his biggest concerns going into Tuesday's primary, exit polls show support for Romney among Hispanic voters increased by 40 percentage points—from 14 percent in 2008 to 54 percent on Tuesday. The Washington Post suggests Romney's poor turnout among Hispanics in 2008 had less to do with how they view him and more to do with who he was running against—John McCain and Rudy Giuliani combined took almost 80 percent of the Latino vote in Florida that year.
