Houthi forces continued to battle militia loyal to Yemen President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi for control of Aden on Sunday, while a Saudi-led coalition launched its 11th day of air strikes against the rebels. Aden's health department director Al-Kheder Lassouar said at least five civilians were killed and 14 wounded in Sunday's fighting. The UN said Thursday more than 500 people had been killed in the two weeks of clashes while the International Committee of the Red Cross called for a 24-hour ceasefire to allow aid into the embattled country. The ICRC said it hopes to send two planes Monday. Russia also proposed a draft resolution to the UN Security Council Saturday urging for a halt in the Saudi-led campaign over humanitarian concerns.
