A new poll from The New York Times and CBS provides small hope on the ballot this fall for Democrats who are facing deep dissatisfaction from voters in the leadership of President Obama, as well as a desire for new elected officials: voters view the Democrats negatively, but they think even less of the GOP. According to the survey, 63 percent of voters disapprove of Democrats in Congress and 73 percent disapprove of Republicans. For the GOP, there's plenty of good news: Many voters are willing to consider non-incumbents and a third of those who voted for Obama say he lacks a plan for the country's problems. More than half of voters polled—55 percent—are saying they want new leadership. Just more than a third of voters—34 percent—say their own representative deserves re-election. That's the lowest percentage for that question in at least 20 years.
