While Donald Trump casts himself as a fiscally responsible business mogul, a USA Today investigation found hundreds of people who claim the presumptive Republican nominee failed to pay them for their work. The newspaper found—by combing lawsuits, liens, judgements, and government filings—that Trump shirked on paying, among others, a dishwasher in Florida, a glass-maker in New Jersey, a carpet company, a plumber, painters, 48 waiters, dozens of bartenders and hourly resort employees, real-estate brokers, and several law firms that represented him—including, ironically, some that defended him in suits involving his failure to pay bills.
