Southerners who want to spend Labor Day celebrating their love of literature are in luck: The Decatur Book Festival runs this weekend outside Atlanta, Georgia. In just four years, the fest has grown to become the largest of its kind in the country—last year, 70,000 people crowded Decatur's city center, where most of the events are held, to hear and meet its 350-plus authors. Organizers expect a similar turn-out this year. Festival headliners include Sir Harold Evans, who'll be giving the keynote speech, Lee Child, Rick Bragg, Charlaine Harris and many other bestselling and award-winning authors.
