Indonesia’s rescue agency is calling off the search for the bodies of 56 people unaccounted for from the AirAsia plane that crashed into the Java Sea in December, an official said Tuesday. The rescue team will end the search Sunday. AirAsia Flight 8501 went off radar during bad weather while en route to Singapore before it plunged into the Java Sea, killing all 162 people on board. An international rescue team led by the Indonesian military has recovered 106 bodies. The final result of the investigation into the crash is expected in about six months.
