‘Into the Woods’ Comes in Third

Despite the hype, Disney’s Into the Woods came in a mere third on its opening weekend, losing to The Hobbit and Unbroken. The musical still managed to pull in $31 million over the holiday weekend after a fat $15.1 million Christmas Day haul. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies came in first with $41.4 for the weekend, which was its second weekend at the cinema. Unbroken came in second with $31.7 million. Rounding out the top five were Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and Annie.
