Apparently, it doesn’t take much to get a bonus at the Internal Revenue Service. In fact, you don’t even have to pay your taxes. A report from the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration reveals that from Oct. 1, 2010, to Dec. 31, 2012, the IRS gave $2.8 million in bonuses to employees cited for owing back taxes, using drugs, making violent threats, misusing government credit cards, and fraudulently claiming unemployment benefits.
