An Oregon law allowing legal possession and cultivation of marijuana went into effect just after midnight Wednesday. The new law allows those 21 and older to consume marijuana and to grow as many as four plants at home and gift small amounts to people, but not to sell it. A bill to allow recreational marijuana sales is making its way through the state legislature, though.
