Jesse Jackson slammed the Tea Party Thursday, saying at a luncheon honoring civil rights pioneers that the Tea Party's states' rights philosophy is similar to the anti-integration groups of the past. "The Tea Party is not new," Jackson said. "It's just a new name for an old game." The luncheon, one of a number of events this weekend before the dedication of the Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial, honored several surviving confidants of King and modern civil rights leaders. Attorney General Eric Holder, speaking at the same event, said, "We haven't yet reached the promised land that Dr. King spoke of."
