NASCAR hero Jimmie Johnson roared to his fifth consecutive championship on Sunday, clinching a come-from-behind win at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Johnson came in second in today’s race, pushing him past Denny Hamlin for the overall season victory. “I was after it pretty hard,” Johnson said of the win. “Even if you aren’t a 48 fan, I think you saw something special today.” Hamlin, after a record number of wins this season, faltered at the end with a poor showing in Phoenix last week and another one today. “We had a great year… and just circumstances took us out of this one,” he said.
